Michaela has managed to introduce me, and the basic info is there even if she did coat it in sarcasm. Firstly I feel the need to point out that my silver streak is fantastic because it is exactly that, a little streak of silver hair - none of this random grey hair nonsense. Also in regard to this you can see that it came into being after I met Michaela, which was no doubt due to the chaos that tends to surround her life!

And this would be why I persuaded Mic to begin this blog. Having occasionally read her blog I came to the conclusion that you folks all had this ideal picture of who she is and I feel the need to have this amended. Sorry folks, but Michaela can be a very stressful to know - I can get away with saying this 'cause she knows I luv her, but it is true.

For most of the time I have known Mic she has been there to make me smile and laugh at the times I need it - and I have been there to pull her out of the clouds and make her take a reality check! It has been an interesting friendship and I hope you enjoy seeing glimpses of that!

Welcome to the Brand-Spankin-New "Michaela Vs. Marian" Blog. This blog was conceived in the Starbucks on Lothain Road today, becuase Marian claims I'm not as "sorted" as I seem to come across as in my other-and probably better-blog, "This Beautiful Mess". She said that she wishes she could post sometimes instead of just comment. So here I shall allow her to do so. If she's good.

Allow me to introduce Marian:

Marian is short, 22 years old, and a mere 3 days younger than myself. Despite this fact, she's got a growing number of "silver" hairs...when I first met her, in 2000, I think she only had 3. They now number well above 19, I'm quite sure. She's a "stage management" major in college, but none of us are sure what that really means. She keeps asking all of us to go see these shows, yet we don't even SEE her (not that I've been to one yet, I just hear stories) so we're all pretty sure she's got some shady deal with the ticketing agent, and she just sits in the back row, watches it herself, and then comes out in all black, just for effect. We met on the Doulos, a missionary ship - but don't hold that against us. That was all the way back in 2000. My first memory of her is watching "Beautiful Girls" in her cabin, soon after I arrived. Little did I know that she would later move into my cabin, where I would be blessed with breakfast in bed (once, for my birthday) and pictures from "The Princess Bride" showing up above my bed with notes on kissing. Many a cup of coffee (both good and bad) has been shared with dear Marian, along with many talks about - what else? - boys. These talks got much less interesting after she finally snagged a boyfriend by the name of Andy. At least, that's what he says his name is. We aren't too sure. You never can tell about the Irish.

Oh, and Marian is Scottish.

I am not.

That is all for now.
